Oweninny Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund 2024 - Category 1 & Category 2 Open For Applications

Mayo County Council invites online Applications from qualifying groups* for funding, under the Oweninny Windfarm Community Benefit Fund 2024, under Category 1 & Category 2 – large-scale capital projects, within Target Area.

Category 1 – Target Area

Large Scale Capital Projects (shovel ready). 

All necessary planning/consents/procurement, etc., must be in place, where applicable, at application stage.

Category 2 – Target Area

Project applicants will submit proposals which require development in order to submit a large-scale capital project, CATEGORY 1 Application in the future,

e.g.,comprehensive proposals which require design, architectural supports, necessary approvals, engineering reports, planning, procurement etc.

Qualifying Categories:

For an application to be considered for funding under the Scheme, it must satisfy at least one of the following categories:-  

  • Amenities; Culture/Heritage; Education; Recreation/Health; Social Inclusion; Community Development; Environment.

Closing Date for submission of Applications through the online portal is: Tuesday, 24 September, 2024, at 4pm.

You must create an account on https://consult.mayo.ie/ - (click on the Register button on the top right hand side of https://consult.mayo.ie/), in order to access the application process.

Before you Start – We recommend that you have the following supporting documents to hand:

  • PPN Number
  • Charity Number (if applicable)
  • Tax Reference Number (if applicable)
  • Tax Clearance Access Number (if applicable)
  • Details of Income Received from any other source
  • Bank Statement Header – recent, and in applicant group name
  • Capital – 3 quotations per element to meet National procurement requirements.  Quotes must be dated within 3 months of application submission.

Your application is dependent on the submission of the above supporting documents.  If any supporting documents are missing, your application may be rejected and not considered for evaluation.
