Food Village


Mayo Day is once again bringing the best local food and chefs from the county right into the heart of the day.

Located at the Docks, our food village marquee will have demonstrations, talks and delectable local produce for sale.

The running order for the day is as follows.

12:10pm Opening address

12:20pm Welcome by Mr. Liam McAndrew

12.40m Cooking demonstration with Barry Ralph, House of Plates Castlebar, showcasing the best of Mayo produce

1.30pm Presentation by Anthony Irwin of Dulra Seaweed

1.50pm Cooking Demonstration with Laura Broderick 

2.50pm Q&A Session with Laura Broderick

3.40pm Panel discussion chaired by Ian McAndrew featuring local fishermen, farmers and food producers.

4.45pm Cookery demonstration with Master Chef and former Irish Chef of the Year John Conmy showcasing locally caught fish and lamb from the Mullet peninsula.
