Historical Fire Safety Certificates

Mayo Fire Service maintains an archive of fire safety certificates dating from 1992, however, due to circumstances beyond our control, some records greater than 5 years old may be unavailable.

Requests for information relating to an existing Fire Safety certificate, or queries as to the existence of any existing Fire Safety Certificates for a premises must be made in writing to fire@mayococo.ie

Written requests for information relating to an existing Fire Safety certificate must contain the following information:

1. Confirmation of premises ownership or tenancy, or A signed letter of consent from the premises owner,
2. Fire safety certificate reference numbers, if known
3. Name of premises, where applicable
4. Premises address and Eircode
5. Type / usage of the premises

The request will be processed by Mayo Fire Service, and, where the request is deemed to be valid, the applicant will be informed or the search results and necessary de-archiving fee via email.

The schedule of fees are as follows:

• A digital copy of the Fire Safety Certificate document: €12.50
• A digital copy of the Fire Safety Certificate Compliance Report: €5
• A digital copy of the Fire Safety Certificate Drawings: €1 per drawing

There are a number of different payment options:

1. To pay by Credit/Debit card you can call our office on 094 906 4999 and provide the required card details. Public opening hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 1pm & 2pm to 5pm
2. To pay by Cheque, a cheque in the required amount can be sent to Mayo Fire Service HQ, Humbert Way, Castlebar, Co. Mayo, F23 V089
3. To make payment in person you can call to Mayo Fire Service HQ, Humbert Way, Castlebar, Co. Mayo, F23 V089. Public opening hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 1pm & 2pm to 5pm
4. By Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) – Mayo County Council bank details are as below. Payment receipt must be forwarded to fire@mayococo.ie
