The Uisce Éireann Customer Opt-In Lead Pipe Replacement Scheme
Uisce Éireann has introduced a Customer Opt-In Lead Pipe Replacement Scheme as part of its draft Lead in Drinking Water Mitigation Plan. As part of this scheme Uisce Éireann commit to replacement of the public side lead service when the customer has replaced the private side lead service subject to certain criteria. Waste Water Discharge Licences
Under the Wastewater Discharge (Authorisation) Regulations 2007-2010, Mayo County Council must apply to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for licences and certificates to operate its wastewater treatment plants.
Details of the Waste Water Discharge Licences /Certificates of Authorisation (WWDA) and the licences/certificates that have been issued are available on the EPA website www.epa.ie
The Domestic Lead Remediation (Financial Assistance) Regulations 2016 (S.I. 56 of 2016) were signed into law on 5th Feb 2016 and provide for a means tested grant to be paid in certain circumstances where lead service pipes are found at domestic premises.
