Newport To Derradda Habitats Directive Screening Assessment Determination Statement

Subsequent to the approval by An Bord Pleanála of the NIS on 2nd July 2012, a requirement to undertake a further specific site investigation on the Burrishoole Bridge was identified.  The Burrishoole bridge is located inside the Clew Bay Complex Special Area of Conservation (SAC) and it was considered necessary to assess the possible effects of the site investigation works on this European Site.  An Appropriate Assessment Screening Report was prepared to establish whether or not the proposed works is likely to have significant adverse effects on the Clew Bay Complex SAC.

The Screening Report concluded that the Site Investigation works at Burrishoole Bridge will have no significant effects on the SAC.
