New 21 Home Kiltimagh Housing Development Officially Opened

Minister of State with responsibility for Local Government and Planning, Alan Dillon TD this morning officially opened a new 21 home housing development at Carn Tulach, Kiltimagh which was developed by Mayo County Council.

The new development comprises of combination of housing solutions including six, three-bedroom houses; eight, two-bedroom houses; six, two- bedroom apartments and one special needs bungalow.

The development was designed and managed by Mayo County Council’s in house architects and housing sections.  The construction works on the project were carried out by Finna Construction, Downes Associates were the structural engineers, Delap and Walker the service engineers for the project and Tobin’s the developments quantity surveyors.

The new development has been designed in a cluster of two Cul-De-Sac’s and is located within one minute walking distance of the heart of Kiltimagh town centre.

Cathaoirleach of Mayo County Council, Cllr John O’Hara added: “The construction of twenty-one new homes is something that should be celebrated and soon it is going to be the most significant day in the life of 21 families when they get the keys to their new home.

“The 21 new families will breathe new life and excitement into the town. Every new family who moves into one of these homes brings their own unique energy, laughter, and dreams to the community.”

Kevin Kelly, Chief Executive of Mayo County Council stated: “Meeting the housing needs of the people of Mayo is a significant task but it is one that we are fully committed to dealing with and today marks another success in our efforts to rise to this challenge.

“This new development which consists of a mix of housing solutions including houses and apartments has been thoughtfully designed to create a welcome and sustainable living environment”
