County Mayo Heritage & Biodiversity Strategy 2023-2030 - Pre-Draft Public Consultation
Date: 16-02-2023
The County Mayo Heritage Forum, facilitated by Mayo County Council, is preparing a County Heritage and Biodiversity Strategy and we would like to hear your views. The Heritage Forum comprises elected representatives, representatives from the community and voluntary sector and a wide range of organisations and state agencies with an interest in or responsibility for Mayo’s heritage.
The Heritage Act 1995 states that the national heritage includes monuments, archaeological objects, heritage objects, architectural heritage, flora, fauna, wildlife habitats, landscapes, seascapes, heritage parks and gardens, wrecks, geology and inland waterways.
We are seeking your input in setting the priorities for Mayo's Heritage and Biodiversity Strategy. We want to know the aspects of Mayo's heritage and biodiversity that you value and want to see celebrated and conserved.
You can take part in the pre-draft consultation process by:
- completing the online survey at www.mayo.ie/heritage/Biodiversity-Strategy by 8th March 2023 and/or
- attending one of the pre-draft consultation drop-in information sessions to be held as follows:
