2,594 Business In Mayo Have Received Grants Totalling €8,059,091 Under The Increased Cost Of Business (I.C.O.B) Grant Scheme

€241.68million has been paid to business in Ireland under the Increased Cost of Business Grant
Mayo County Council has announced that 2,594 businesses have received €8,059,091 in grant funding under the Government’s Increased Cost of Business scheme.
The ICOB grant was designed by the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment to help SME’s with the increased costs associated with running a business and was administered by the Local Authorities.
Minister of State for Trade Promotion, Digital and Company Regulation, Dara Calleary said;
“The ICOB grant was hugely beneficial to small and medium enterprises in Mayo and around the country. 2,600 business here in Mayo availed of just over €8million worth of grants to help them with increased costs and they can be assured that the Government will continue to support them in growing their businesses.
“I would also like to thank the staff in Mayo County Council for administering the Scheme on behalf of my Department.”

Chief Executive, Kevin Kelly also welcomed the significant funding for small and medium businesses which he said are at the core of our local economy in Mayo while indicating that he was pleased that the staff of Mayo County Council were able to assist in the efficient and timely distribution of the payments.
A total of €257 million was made available under the Scheme.
