Official Visit Minister of State at the Department of Housing, Local Government & Heritage, Peter Burke TD

Mayo County Council were delighted to welcome Minister of State at the Department of Housing, Local Government & Heritage, Peter Burke TD  to Mayo today. Minister Burke visited a number of projects around the County including the Official opening of Killala, Foxford and Charlestown Wastewater Treatment Plants.  A visit to the Cois Coille housing development at Swinford and a Tuath housing project in Castlebar  Meetings were also held between the Minister and the Cathaoirleach of Mayo County Council, Cllr Michael Smyth and Chief Executive Kevin Kelly.  The Minister also had an opportunity to enjoy lunch on the Mall in Castlebar meeting with local Councillors and Council officials and was guided on a walk of the Military Barracks quarter, in Castlebar to get an understanding of the potential of future projects in the town
