Prior Warning Notices have been issued today 19/07/2024 for a number of bathing waters in Mayo, due to forecast heavy rainfall and possible impact on bathing water quality. Bathing waters affected include the following:

Westport Area

• The Point Westport
• Old Head Beach
• Clare Island Beach
• Carrowniskey Beach
• Cross Beach (Louisburgh)
• Tallaghbawn/White Strand
• Silver Strand

Achill Area

• Dugort Beach
• Dooega Beach

Belmullet Area

• Portacloy Beach
• Belmullet Outdoor Swimming Pool

Ballina Area

• Ballycastle Beach

Castlebar Area

• Lough Lannagh

Claremorris/Swinford Area

• Pontoon Beaches
