Businesses In Westport Are Invited To Join The Green Hubs Programme

Mayo County Council is inviting businesses in the Westport area to register for the Green Hubs Programme.
Green Hubs supports businesses in improving their waste management and cutting down on waste disposal costs. This will be done through free mentoring and practical supports for your businesses including the provision of bin signage and posters from mywaste.ie to help you and your staff improve waste segregation.
Over 70% of the waste found in commercial waste bins could be recycled or placed in food waste bin. This is having significant cost and environmental impacts.

Supports climate action in the community: This initiative supports a circular economy which reduces the carbon footprint of any business.
Free resources and support available: MyWaste.ie is making free signage available to separate waste to General Waste, Recycling and Food Waste. Mayo County Council will further support business with waste audits and provide any necessary advice/guidance.
