HSE Public Health Nursing

The Public Health Nursing (PHN) Service includes Public Health Nurses, Community Registered General Nurse and Pallitative Care Nurses. PHNs provide a wide range of services to all care groups including Maternal and Child Health and screening. PHNs also refer to multi-disciplinary services, which includes Home Help, Continence Advisor, Vascular Clinic and others. Public Health Nurses operate from a local Health Centre. They are available in their local Health Centres from 9.30 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. to take telephone calls, meet with clients and take referrals from other disciplines.
