Mayo Day 2019
Our flagship celebration for Mayo Day 2019 took place on the grounds of Turlough House at the National Museum of Ireland - Country Life on Saturday, May 4th. The theme for 2019 was 'The Mayo Word'.
Among the many highlights over the course of the weekend was the launch on Friday evening, May 3rd with special guests including Michael Murphy, Vice Admiral Mark Mellett, Anne Chambers and Lisa Canny, the musical lineup on the main stage for Mayo Day which included Keywest and Lisa Canny, an exhibition of Mayo art, craft workshops, the writers corner, our La Mhaigh Eo craic agus ceol and many activities for people of all ages. A special, once-off May Day jersey was worn by the Mayo senior football on Sunday May 5th in their opening championship game in New York.
