Mayo Archery Club
Members of the Irish Field Archery Federation and associated field archery associations as well as members of Archery Ireland are welcome to shoot with us indoors in the Foxford Community Centre and at our woodland course. Members of the public are welcome to attend our "Introduction to Archery Course" and then complete the "IFAF Accreditation Course" before becoming members.
Field archery involves shooting at targets that are laid out in a course,usually through woodland.Shooting over uneven ground and through natural vegetation as well as mastering archery technique provides both a mental and physical challenge.Field archery can be treated as a relaxing pass time or a highly competitive pursuit depending on your motivation.
The Mayo Archery Club wants to encourage participation in and enjoyment of the sport of archery. Archery is a sport that lends itself naturally to inclusivity with bow styles and formats that make it accessible to all ages and abilities.We want to make archery available to all and to provide high quality instruction and facilities to our members in a friendly and welcoming environment.
