2024 Mini Marathon a Runaway Success

1800 registered for the 2024 Mayo.ie Western People West of Ireland Womens Mini Marathon which took place in Ballina on Sun 5th May. On a beautiful day for the event some 1300 adults participated in the main 10K event with over 100 teens aged 12 -16 taking part in the Its for Girls Initiative. Some 300 opted to do the event virtually ie In their own location probably due to a number of factors including the Mayo Vs Galway Connaught GAA Final in Salthill also on Sunday.
In the Primary Schools 2K Fun Event over 800 Primary School Children participated with some 200 parents and adults also taking part. Congratulations to all participants and also a massive thank you to all the volunteers from many clubs and organisations who helped out on the day.
