Celebrating Success: Glenamoy Completes First Ever Prime Time of Life Programme

The first-ever Mayo Prime Time of Life programme came to a proud conclusion on November 27th in Glenamoy, North Mayo. This 12-week evidence-based exercise initiative, designed to support individuals with long-term health conditions, marked an incredible milestone for health and wellness in the region.

Participants celebrated their achievements by receiving personalised fitness feedback reports showing fantastic progress across all fitness categories, as well as certificates recognising their commitment to the programme. Well done to the Glenamoy community for their outstanding participation and engagement!

A big thank you goes to Justin Healy, the exercise instructor who led this pilot programme with dedication and expertise, delivering a wonderful experience for everyone involved.

Mayo Sports Partnership would also like to extend thanks to our programme partners EduFIT, Laois Sports Partnership, Sláintecare, and Cill Chomáin GAA for their invaluable support. Funding for the Glenamoy initiative was generously provided through Sláintecare Healthy Communities.

The Mayo Prime Time of Life programme is a pioneering physical activity initiative promoting health and wellness in our community. Mayo Sports Partnership is thrilled to announce plans to bring this successful programme back to North Mayo in early 2025.
