Marathon Kids a great success in Mayo!!
Active Schools Week was a hive of activity in Mayo this week as 550 kids completed the final mile of their Marathon Kids Programme led by Marathon kids’ ambassador David Gillick as part of #ASW22
Over 2 days and the 3 locations of Castlebar, Claremorris and Ballinrobe 5th and 6th class students from 13 different schools ran the file mile of their 8-week programme together.
850 kids (25 schools) from Mayo signed up and have been taking part since the programme was launched at the end of February through Mayo Sports Partnership. Congratulations and well done to all the kids, their schools and teachers for getting involved.
