Mayo.ie Western People Women's Mini Marathon 2022
Date: 25-03-2022
Preparations are continuing apace for the 2022 Mayo.ie Western People West of Ireland Women’s Mini-Marathon, which takes place in Castlebar on Sunday, May 1. After a Covid-enforced break of two years, this year’s Mini-Marathon will make a welcome return to its traditional home on the Mall and organisers are hugely excited to welcome runners and walkers of all ages back to participate in person in what has become, since its inaugural staging back in 2010, the largest all-female race in Ireland outside of the capital.
Registration for the Mini-Marathon is now open via myrunresults.com. Those who register before the early bird date will have their names entered in a special Eary Bird draw, with several great prizes up for grabs. Keep checking social media for ongoing updates.
“After a two-year gap, all of us in Mayo Sports Partnership are delighted to be back organising a physical West of Ireland Women’s Mini-Marathon in 2022,” said Head of Mayo Sports Partnership Charlie Lambert. “We are so looking forward to seeing participants’ happy faces and hearing about all their personal achievements, it will be inspiring for us all.”
The return of the in-person Mini-Marathon also means the return of the ever-popular Mini-Mini, the fun run for primary school boys and girls which will run alongside the main event on May 1.
