A Message from Age Friendly Mayo
Date: 15-10-2020
The government is now also advising people nationwide not to have visitors to their home or garden, and that social or family gatherings should not take place in other settings. These additional restrictions will pose additional challenges for people who may already be vulnerable and particularly those who struggle with health difficulties, loneliness, and other issues. Age Friendly Mayo is asking people to continue to support people in the community as they have always done, and maintain contact with them, particularly those living alone (while ensuring they are taking the same protective measures).
It is important to ensure every person will have access to food, medication, fuel, daily contact, and any other support that may be needed.
While we must all work together to adhere to additional restrictions – WE can have a significant impact on the spread of the disease, but only if we are kind and support one another and everyone follows the rules
