Christmas Parking 2025

Castlebar Municipal District

At the November meeting of the Castlebar MD, the Elected Members agreed to introduce free parking in December as an initiative to support traders in the run up to Christmas.

There will free customer parking in the four Castlebar Town Centre car parks listed below:

Market Square Car Park
Castle Street Car Park
Spencer Street Car Park
Pavilion Road Car Park

Parking will be free each day from 2:00pm, from Friday, the 6th of December to Friday the 27th of December 2024, inclusive.

Parking charges for on-street parking and the Dunnes Stores Car Park remain unchanged.

Westport / Belmullet Municipal District

Westport

As agreed at the November Westport-Belmullet Municipal District meeting, there will be free customer parking in all Westport Town Centre car parks from Friday 06 December 2024 until Wednesday 01 January 2025, inclusive

This applies to car parks only. The existing charges for on-street parking remain in place at all times.
