Culture Night 2024 In Mayo Had Something For Everyone

Date: 26-09-2024

On Friday the 20th September, Mayo was awash with events as Culture Night 2024 got underway.

In every corner of the county there were arts and cultural events to be found. From Dungeons and Dragons in Ballinrobe and Claremorris to DJ sets in the Linenhall and Ballina Arts Centres, and from poetry in Ballina to trad and folk sessions from Killala to Kilmovee, there really was something for everyone as Culture Night lived up to its tagline of ‘One Night for All.’

Since 2006, Culture Night has been a staple in the calendar, taking place each year on the second last Friday of September. Culture Night celebrates culture, creativity and the arts and seeks to actively promote the belief that this rich and varied culture is alive, treasured and nurtured in people’s lives, today and every day.

Culture Night is strategically funded by Mayo County Council and the Arts Council of Ireland and is supported by Creative Ireland and participating groups & venues in Mayo. Media Sponsor is Midwest Radio.
