Defective Concrete Blocks Community Facilitators Are Now Available To Support Homeowners In County Mayo

Mayo's newly appointed Defective Concrete Blocks (DCB) Facilitators plan to hold weekly Clinics in Mayo to assist community members who are in the process of applying for the Enhanced Defective Concrete Blocks Grant Scheme.

Maire Goggins and Caroline Wilson joined Mayo North East Partnership as the company's new DCB Facilitators. They will be responsible for supporting homeowners through the application process and facilitating access to the relevant support services. They will provide support in the various steps of the process from scanning and uploading documents and signposting information to homeowners about other supports available. Due to the expected demand on the service, they will aim to prioritise homeowners and families who are most vulnerable. Maire and Caroline plan on holding weekly clinics to meet with the public and provide one to one support from 10am — 1 pm.

These clinics are open to the public but it should be noted that spaces are limited for the one-to-one sessions, so booking is essential.

Maire will be holding clinics starting on Monday 9th October 2023. The clinics will be Monday in Ballina Family Resource Centre, Tuesday in Westport Leeson Enterprise Centre and Thursday in Ballycastle Céide Coast Eco-Campus.

Caroline will be holding clinics starting on Monday 9th October 2023. The clinics will be Monday in Foxford Belass Centre — every second week and Crossmolina Enterprise Centre — every second week, Tuesday in Belmullet Civic Offices and Thursday in Killala Lynn's On the Way Café.
