Financial Assistance for Architectural Conservation Works in Ballina, Co. Mayo under the Historic Towns Initiative (HTI)

The Historic Towns Initiative 2024 aims to provide support to historic towns engaged in a programme of heritage-led regeneration. We are particularly interested in projects in the Pearse Street Architectural Conservation Area (ACA), Ballina. We welcome projects that propose appropriate conservation-led works and repairs, projects that address dereliction and residential vacancy, and streetscape conservation projects.
The aim of the HTI is to provide financial assistance to owners in carrying out appropriate conservation works to historic properties located within the Pearse Street Architectural Conservation Area (ACA) which includes Pearse Street, Tone Street, O’Rahilly Street, Casement Street, Walsh Street and James Connolly Street.
The scheme will provide grants of between €2,500 and €30,000.
Successful applicants will be notified in November 2024.
