Gaeltacht Scholarship Scheme

Mayo County Council is now accepting applications for its Gaeltacht Scholarship Scheme for Easter 2023. One full-scholarship will be made available which cover course fees for the Easter Course in Coláiste Acla, which will run from 2 April to 8 April 2023. The conditions for entry are as follows:

  • This scholarship is for second-level students in second or third year
  • Students who live in Mayo, or who attend school in Mayo, may apply. 
  • This scholarship is non-transferable.
  • The scholarship winner will be chosen by means of open draw. Oifig na Gaeilge will make direct contact with the winning student in early March. A notice will be placed on our website confirming the draw has taken place.
  • The winning student will be required to show that they fulfill the scholarship conditions as outlined above.

Applications will be accepted online only via the application form below. Applications are to be completed both by the student and their parent/guardian. The deadline for applications is 12.00 midday on Friday 3 March 2023. Late entries will not be accepted.
