About Mayo Artsquad

Established in 1997 with FÁS support, Mayo County Council’s Artsquad has continued to provide excellent training in community arts skills for fifteen participants annually. The participants on Artsquad come from a wide variety of backgrounds and work with groups from all communities, providing workshops, training and street theatre. The Artsquad also works extensively with festivals throughout the county.

Job Description

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary.  Accredited training will be provided to support your career. Duties include art workshop facilitation, prop construction, sculpture work, painting and music, working in a team environment across a range of community settings. Interest in Arts and creative skills are beneficial. Projects will take place throughout the county. 

Application Details

Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.
