Mayo County Council Draft Strategic Policy Committee (SPC) Scheme 2024 -2029

Notice is hereby given that Mayo County Council has considered a draft SPC Scheme at its meeting on July 08th
The role of the SPC’S, as committees of the Council, is to consider and advise the Corporate Policy Group and the full Council on matters connected with the formulation, development, monitoring and review of policy which relate to the functions of the Council and which are linked to the Corporate Plan.
SPCs bring together both elected members and people actively working with social, community/voluntary, economic, and environmental bodies to assist in the work of the committees.
The draft scheme specifies assignment of sector(s) to each SPC and the number of representatives from each sector for each SPC.
Submissions and/or observations from interested parties in relation to the scheme should be submitted to the undersigned not later than Friday 16th August 2024
