Mayo County Council Local Property Tax Update

Mayo County Council, has voted to vary the base rate of Local Property Tax by 10% for 2021. The increase of 10% will yield additional income of €1,040,000.

This will enable the Council to provide the required matching funding for capital projects around the county, supporting projects with an overall investment value estimated at €16m.

These projects will create employment, boost tourism and make Mayo an attractive place to live, work, visit and invest in.

The additional funding generated will be applied throughout county, with each of Mayo’s four Municipal Districts benefitting from the investment
