National Women's Enterprise Day

Local Enterprise Office (LEO) Mayo celebrated National Women’s Enterprise Day, which took place on October 13th by hosting the North West Region National Women’s Enterprise Day event in collaboration with LEO Galway and LEO Roscommon.
The theme of this year’s National Women’s Enterprise Day was ‘Our Future, Our Way’ and the event which was held in Breaffy House Resort aimed to encourage female entrepreneurship and to support women in business across the country.
This was one of 16 events to mark the day which took place nationally on the day, with these events being supported by Enterprise Ireland and Local Authorities.
The keynote speakers on the day were Susan Culleton-Hayes (The Positive Economist) and Mary McHugh (Counselling Online) who has been a pioneer in her field.
Several leading lights from the local field of female entrepreneurs in Mayo took part on the day including Sarah Flood (managing director of Snap Mayo) and Anne Conlon (sales trainer and Conlon Talent).
Other speakers during the event included Chloe Gardiner (Wonky Woolins), Galway and Ruth Larkin (Larkin Bridal Limited) Roscommon.
The event was a morning of celebration and networking of female entrepreneurs from across the North West region.
