Notice of Making of the Interim Mayo County Development Plan 2022-2028

Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 12(12) of the Planning and Development Acts that Mayo County Council made the Interim Mayo County Development Plan 2022-2028 on the 29th June 2022. In accordance with Section 12(17) of the aforesaid Act, the Mayo County Development Plan 2022-2028 will come into effect on the 10th August 2022.

The Interim Plan comprises of the following:

1. Written Statement – Volume 1

2. Development Management Standards – Volume 2

3. Book of Maps – Volume 3

4. Supporting Documents – Volume 4

5. Environmental Documents – Volume 5

6. IWAK SDZ – Volume 6

7. Appendices

The Interim Mayo County Development Plan 2022-2028 (known as the Interim Plan Adoption Decision Document) is accompanied by an Environmental Report, set out in Volume 5 of the Plan, prepared in accordance with the Planning and Development (Strategic Environmental Assessment) Regulations 2004 – 2011 and a Natura Impact Statement, pursuant to Article 6 of the Habitats Directive 92/43/EEC. The Strategic Environmental Statement (SEA) which accompanies the Plan includes information on how environmental considerations have been integrated into the Plan.

Copies of the Interim Mayo County Development Plan 2022 – 2028, Environmental Reports, the Strategic Environmental Assessment Statement and Natura Impact Statement are available for inspection in the offices of Mayo County Council, Aras an Chontae, The Mall, Castlebar, Co. Mayo, F23 WF90 during normal office hours. The Interim Mayo County Development Plan 2022-2028 is also available on Mayo County Council’s online consultation portal https://consult.Mayo.ie/. This Interim Plan is also is available to purchase from the Forward Planning Section, Aras an Chontae, The Mall, Castlebar, F23 WF90.
