Proposed Road Closures (Extinguishment Of Rights Of Way)

Section 73 Of The Roads Act 1993, As Amended

Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 73 of the Roads Act 1993 as amended, that Mayo County Council Claremorris Municipal District propose to Extinguish the Rights of Way as set out in the Schedule hereto:

SCHEDULE

  1. That part of County Road L-29189-1 in the Townland of Shanaghmoyle, in the County of Mayo and between the lines A-A and A1-A1 for a distance of 10m as shown on drawing 24/08/14-0.
  1. That part of County Road L-15037-1 in the Townland of Rockfield, in the County of Mayo and between the lines A-A and A1-A1 for a distance of 10m as shown on drawing 24/08/13-0.
  1. That part of County Road L-55517-0 in the townland of Ballinsmaula, in the County of Mayo and between the lines A-A and A1-A1 for a distance of 10m as shown on drawing 24/08/12-0.
  1. That part of County Road L-55517-1 in the townland of Ballinsmaula, in the County of Mayo and between the lines A-A and A1-A1 for a distance of 10m as shown on drawing 24/08/11-0.
  1. That part of County Road L-5551-0 in the townland of Ballinsmaula, in the County of Mayo and between the lines A-A and A1-A1 for a distance of 10m as shown on drawing 24/08/10-0.
  1. That part of County Road L-55513-0 in the townland of Castlegar, in the county of Mayo and between the lines A-A and A1-A1 for a distance of 10m as shown on drawing 24/08/9-0.
  1. That part of County Road L-55512-0 in the townland of Clare, in the County of Mayo and between the lines A-A and A1-A1 for a distance of 10m as shown on drawing 24/08/8-0.
  1. That part of County Road L-25116-0 in the townland of Castlemagarret North, in the County of Mayo and between the lines A-A and A1-A1 for a distance of 10m as shown on drawing 24/08/7-0.

A Map showing such Rights of Way may be inspected at Mayo County Council Offices, Kilcolman Road, Claremorris, Co. Mayo, from 9.00am to 4.30pm each Monday to Friday, excluding Public Holidays, until Friday the 22nd  of November 2024.

Objections to the proposals should be lodged in writing to the undersigned not later than 4.30pm on Tuesday the 10th of December 2024.

Persons making such objections or representations may make a request in writing to state their case at an oral hearing conducted by a person appointed by the Local Authority for that purpose.
