Mayo County Council Strategic Arts Plan 2018 - 2022 

The direction of this Strategic Arts Plan is rooted in the overall mission of Mayo County Council, as stated in the Corporate Plan, 2015 – 2019, Investing In Our People. Committing To Our Community. 

OUR MISSION:  ‘Promote the well-being and quality of life of our citizens and communities in Mayo and to enhance the attractiveness of the County as a place in which to live, work, visit, invest in and enjoy’. 

OUR VISION FOR MAYO IS: ‘A County that is Sustainable, Inclusive, Prosperous and Proud’. 

SPECIFICALLY, FOR THE ARTS SERVICE THIS MEANS:  ‘We will work with The Arts Council and all relevant statutory and voluntary agencies and our vibrant Arts community to ensure meaningful access to, and engagement with the Arts for all our citizens’.

County Arts Plan 2025- 2030

Work has commenced on the development of a new five-year strategic Arts Plan for County Mayo. This plan is being informed through consultation, with the views of those involved and interested in the development of the arts in Mayo being actively sought.

If you wish to contribute, you can do so in the following ways:

(1) Arts Plan Survey – www.surveymonkey.com/r/MayoArtsPlan2025-2030 

(2) Send a written submission Arts Service, Mayo County Council, Mayo House, Moneen, Castlebar, Co. Mayo or Send an email submission to mayoarts@mayococo.ie 

(3) Public Workshops:

(a) Ballina Arts Centre, January 20th at 7pm

(b) Linenhall Arts Centre, January 21st at 7pm

(c) Online, January 29th at 6pm (please request link from mayoarts@mayococo.ie )
