Local Improvement Scheme
The Local Improvements Scheme applies to work on non- public roads which provide access to parcels of land of which at least two or more are owned by different persons, one of which must be engaged in agriculture- on accommodation and bog roads, roads which connect two public roads, roads leading to important community amenities and small bridges.
The Scheme does not apply to roads maintained by the County Council or to roads serving only houses or buildings where there is no agricultural activity.
