National Public Lighting Energy Efficiency Project
Public lighting upgrades will be taking place under the National Public Lighting Energy Efficiency Project (PLEEP) which will be delivered in three geographical regions each led by a Contracting Local Authority.
Mayo County Council is acting as the Contracting Authority for the North West Region to retrofit public lights across 7 Local Authorities with energy efficient LED lanterns. The project in this region is currently in the design phase with works due to commence once the tender process is complete.
The North West Region consists of the functional areas of the following seven Local Authorities
- Cavan County Council
- Donegal County Council
- Galway County Council
- Leitrim County Council
- Mayo County Council
- Roscommon County Council
- Sligo County Council
