Road Works Weekly Information

Mayo County Council provides information to members of the public about roadworks, road closures and diversions.

Claremorris Swinford MD

Site investigation works will take place on the R320 Swinford Rd, Kiltimagh at Attavally from Wednesday 2nd April until Wednesday 9th April.
- Traffic Management plan will be in place.
- Please expect delays and allow extra time for your journey.

Westport Belmullet Municipal District

Roadworks due to take place on the L-5438 Road at Sandhill, Newport from Thursday 24th April until Friday 25th April.
Roadworks due to place on the L-5420 Road at Claggarnaugh, Glenhest, Newport from Tuesday 22nd April until Wednesday 23rd April
- Traffic controls in operation- Please expect delays.
N59 Derrada - works commencing Monday 24th March.
- Stop/Go system in place to facilitate site clearance.

Ballina Municipal District

Ballina Town Centre
Emmet Street, Ballina - Resurfacing works ongoing from Monday evening 7th April until Friday evening 11th.
- Traffic management will be in operation. Mayo County Council appreciates the publics patience during this timeframe.
Creggs Road Ballina – Active Travel
- New footpath and associated civil works. Traffic Controls will be in Operation – Driver caution is advised
Market Road, Humbert Street and Clare Street
- Road resurfacing works expected to commence at night from Monday 17th February. Driver caution is advised. Traffic control will be in operation.
