Join Micheál Ó Briain for a guided walk exploring the stunning Keem Bay, one of the jewels of Achill Island’s natural heritage. This area holds European conservation importance and includes two Special Areas of Conservation – protecting both rich heathland and vital marine life.

Along the way, you’ll learn about the unique flora and fauna of this wild western fringe of Europe. The dramatic cliffs are home to choughs, ravens, and seabirds like the black guillemot. Basking sharks and bottle-nosed dolphins are also regular visitors in spring.

Micheál brings decades of experience in nature conservation, having worked with the Irish Wildbird Conservancy and the European Commission on biodiversity policy. Passionate about wildlife, he now focuses on photography and sharing the wonders of Achill’s landscapes and habitats.
