Mayo Day 2021
In 2021 we celebrated our seventh year with an outstanding programme of events viewable from around the globe.
Our flagship TV programme, Mayo Day – Ár bPobal, Our People aired on TG4 and the TG4 Player on Mayo Day evening, May 1st, and featured a packed programme full of music and culture, conversation and craic, featuring very special guests and the incomparable beauty of our county. Music played a large part, including performances by Matt Molloy of the Chieftains, Laoise Kelly, Billow Wood and Lisa Canny.
The weekend was launched on Thursday, April 29th as a not-to-be-missed virtual events in collaboration with The Irish Time, Mayo – A World Class Place to do Business, featured an exclusive panel discussion exploring the strong fundamentals of Mayo’s economy.
The launch of 'Home To Mayo 2022' also took place. The Mayo Tourism and Diaspora initiative, that had been selected to be part of the Global Irish Festival Series, encouraged Mayo people from around the world to return home for a month longe series of events in May 2022.
